Many buildings were rebuilt after World War II, but history is preserved in the photographs. Sergey Larenkov is a photographer who was affected by World War II. He researched archival footage shot during the siege from 1941 to 1944, reproduced the exact camera location and angle, took corresponding photographs of the modern city, and then combined old and modern photos into one.
