Bosses have confirmed they are ‘assessing options’ after an airline collapsed into administration, leaving 41 staff members redundant. Reports suggest UK charter carrier Zenith Aviation Limited has stopped trading, with the firm having been a major player in private jet charter, aircraft management, and engineering provision.

Paul Hargreaves, of Nexus Corporate Solutions Limited, was appointed administrator to the business. He indicated there remained prospects that the operation, which had its principal base at London Biggin Hill, might be salvaged or acquired.

“I was appointed administrator of the company on May 15, 2026 by the director, and the company is in an insolvent position due to cashflow issues, debtors not paying, and historic ownership and management issues,” Mr Hargreaves said.

He added: “It is unfortunate for the company and the former employees, however, we are assessing the assets of the company, assisting employees with claiming their statutory redundancy entitlements, and looking at options to include potential rescue, or buyout should that be appropriate.

“At this time we are still assessing the company’s position, and evaluating the options.”

Zenith Aviation Limited was acquired by Opul Jets early last year, though the company relinquished control of the business in December. The takeover agreement encompassed the firm’s UK-issued Air Operator Certificate, alongside its fleet of registered aircraft and a fully accredited maintenance facility.
